About the Event
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, we’re about to put that theory to the test. The Founder of Granola Girl, April Bellia leads a virtual breakfast date as she interviews some of your favourite local startup Founders and small business owners.
And, it all starts with, “What are you having for breakfast?”
THIS WEEK'S SPECIAL GUESTS: Grace Lanuza and Henrietta Devine
Grace Lanuza brings over 18 years of experience in business specializing in brand strategy, shopper marketing, employment branding, and large-scale events. Some of her notable work includes: Procter & Gamble Beauty’s Olay For You digital space and Atlantic Canada House at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Her past client mix includes Daimler-Chrysler, Rogers, Microsoft Xbox, Coca-Cola, Cadbury, Adams, National Football League (NFL) / SuperBowl, InBev/Labatt, ESPN and the Indigenous Communities for Leadership and Development (ICLD) where she led the Key To Employment Program initiative in both urban and remote Indigenous communities.
As seen in leading publications such as Business Insider, her parent company, Grace Lanuza Brand Strategy + Consulting Group, houses three subsidiaries; Brand Apiary (branding and digital marketing), Clickruit (employment branding & training) and Pelota (influencer and sports sponsorship brokerage). The companies have offices in Vancouver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and London, UK.
Being a serial entrepreneur, Grace is also involved in the cannabis industry, with the subscription box Green Queenz and LearnCannaBiz, an online platform educating aspiring entrepreneurs on how to start a cannabis business.
These days, she can be found helping women carve their own paths in the tech world, volunteering her time to organizations that welcome and transition refugees to Canada, or blogging on ways GenZ can amp up their employment branding.
Henrietta Devine is the enabler of all good things: good conversations, good connections, good product, and good vibes.
Committed to elevating the quality of all she touches, Henrietta is the founder of Tagulan, a lifestyle apparel company that focuses on bringing play and sustainability to life through super soft, comfy tees - with a kickback to community initiatives that support local agriculture and education. Whether working with large companies or individuals bringing their big visions to life, Henrietta focuses on partnering with heart-centered, globally-minded brands committed to driving positive change in the world.
A mother, a yogi, and music-lover, Henrietta is a change maker, who does so with dedication, persistence, and heaps of fun.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Learn from the people that are out there, doing it. Never before have entrepreneurs, Founders, and CEO's of your favourite local companies had the time and resources to be able to open you to their community in the same fashion as right now. Join us as we work on making our community stronger, and get to know a side of these people you've probably never seen before.
This breakfast date will kick off with 30 minutes of networking and then go into a casual and fun discussion with the guest of the week. We'll go over what it's like to run a small to medium size business, how COVID-19 has had an impact on their business, and how they are coping with the changes. We'll also chat about how to build a tribe and community, and will add in some fun questions to get to know the Founder on a more personal and fun level!
Participants will be given the opportunity for Q&A at the end.
A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER GRANOLA GIRL
Before COVID-19, Granola Girl was an active sponsor at events that fit with our core values, cheering from the sidelines and fueling the spirits of all who attended. Just because these events are cancelled, doesn't mean we can't continue though! We are here, on #GetSocialBox, to show up for our community by coordinating online virtual meetups and supporting anyone who is feeling the shadow side of isolation. With our virtual breakfast parties, we can all remain connected over our favourite go-to morning breakfast without leaving our dining table.
The Granola Girl community remains strong and united.
