About the Event
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, we’re about to put that theory to the test. The Founder of Granola Girl, April Bellia leads a virtual breakfast date as she interviews some of your favourite local startup Founders and small business owners.
And, it all starts with, “What are you having for breakfast?”
This weeks special guests: Dupinder Yablonsky and Simrit Ollek
Dupinder Yablonsky is the Dupi behind Dupi’s Chai. She’s a mom, a wife and a wellness enthusiast on a mission to share her passion and experience of functional superfoods that lead to a stronger mind, body and spirit.
We all heard the saying, health is wealth; and it truly resonates when we’re struck with an illness or disease that impacts quality of life. Dupi’s personal story is like that and goes back a few years when busy lifestyle, lack of proper nutrition and stress lead to choric inflammation that had debilitated her lifestyle as a working mom with young children.
Scientist by trade, Dupi began looking at her symptoms, recognizing the root cause of her condition (and most other modern diseases) is inflammation and oxidative stress. Her search for a solution lead her towards spices and their power to heal. What she leaned and discovered formed the foundation of her Functional Spiced Tea blends.
As a mother of two young boys and an educator, Simrit’s energetic and nurturing personality, along with her passion and joy of having her family eat healthier, motivated her to start TreatSmarts. Her inspiration began a few years ago when many of her close family members were diagnosed with gluten-intolerant allergies. Her love for her family coupled with her passion for healthy eating set the stage for the beginning of TreatSmart. TreatSmarts is a producer of delicious, nutritious and convenient gluten-free snacks made from clean, high-quality ingredients. Her vision is to inspire a world where everyone can reach beyond their potential.
Participants will be given the opportunity for Q&A at the end.
A Note from the Founder of Granola Girl
Before COVID-19, Granola Girl was an active sponsor at events that fit with our core values, cheering from the sidelines and fueling the spirits of all who attended. Just because these events are cancelled, doesn't mean we can't continue though! We are here, on #GetSocialBox, to show up for our community by coordinating online virtual meetups and supporting anyone who is feeling the shadow side of isolation. With our virtual breakfast parties, we can all remain connected over our favourite go-to morning breakfast without leaving our dining table.
The Granola Girl community remains strong and united.
